Hot Matcha Latte

Ingredient:
  • • Base:
  •   o Matcha: 2g
  •   o Hot Water: 1 tbsp
  •   o Additional hot water: ¼ cup
  • • Latte:
  •   o Milk (alternative): 0.5 cup
  • • Optional: sweetener
  •   o (in the video add a teaspoon of honey) – don’t add this as text lol –just the line above
Recipe
  1. 1. Prepare the matcha base:
  2.   a. Sift the Matcha to remove the lumps.
  3.   b. Add the Matcha into the cup.
  4.   c. Heat the water to 80°C and add 1 tbsp into the cup.
  5.   d. Whisk into a smooth paste (whisk in a zigzag motion)
  6.   e. Add the hot water
  7. 2. Assemble the drink following this order: milk* – matcha base
*Optional: mix or shake for a full green infusion / or leave for a pour-over white and green effect
Shop Matcha
Add/Sift 4 scoops of matcha into a bowl
Approximately 1 tsp (~2g)
Add ~1 Tbsp/0.5fl oz of water
Use ~70°C/160°F (not boiling) soft, filtered water
Massage into a smooth paste
Apply gentle pressure to break up clumps
Add another ~1 Tbsp/0.5fl oz of water
Then massage again until consistent
Koicha should be thick and viscous
with the consistency of melted chocolate
